Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and using UrbanAV as a buyer, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern your use of our platform to rent AV equipment from verified suppliers. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Buyer Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to use UrbanAV. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.

3. Booking & Payment

When you book equipment, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable delivery charges. Payments are processed through our secure escrow system. Your payment is held in escrow until delivery is verified via OTP. UrbanAV charges a 5% service fee on successful transactions.

4. Escrow & Refund Policy

Your payment is held securely in escrow until equipment delivery is confirmed through OTP verification. Refunds are processed in the following situations:

• Cancellation before supplier dispatches — 100% refund
• Equipment not delivered — full refund plus compensation
• Equipment damaged or not as described — full refund after verification

5. Delivery & OTP Verification

You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS when equipment is delivered. Sharing this OTP with the supplier confirms delivery and releases payment from escrow. Do not share your OTP before physically verifying the equipment.

6. Equipment Care & Liability

You are responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until return. You agree to:

• Use equipment only for the agreed rental period
• Take reasonable care of equipment during use
• Return equipment in the same condition as received
• Report any damage or issues immediately through the app

You will be liable for any damage, loss, or theft during your rental period.

7. Cancellations

Free cancellation is available before the supplier dispatches the equipment. Late cancellations may result in partial refund based on the remaining time before delivery.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use UrbanAV for any illegal purposes. This includes attempting to circumvent the escrow payment system, providing false information, or harassing suppliers.

9. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, contact our support team at support@urbanav.in. We will mediate between buyer and supplier to reach a fair resolution. Our decision in disputes involving escrow payments is final.

10. Limitation of Liability

UrbanAV acts as a marketplace connecting buyers with suppliers. We are not responsible for the actions of suppliers or the condition of equipment. Our liability is limited to the amount paid in the disputed transaction.
